It isn't easy to learn how to pose as someone who doesn't seem affected by rude comments. I myself still feel the tightness of my throat and flushed skin of my face whenever i present or feel a judgemental stare from afar.
Whenever these moments happen, my brain tends to try and distract me with something else--like the atmosphere around me or myself in the reflection of my phone, or even just to change the music. Eventually, it'll become an afterthought.
